So, what exactly is a 1982-1996 GM A Body Car? Well, chances are, if you're actually interested enough to read this page, you already know of at least one example. Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac all threw their hats in the ring, so to speak, offering the following models for the 1982-1996 lineup:
Oldsmobile CIERA / CUTLASS CIERA
When these vehicles were brought to the market, they were intended to be family cars, just above the "economy" level that was GM's X Body line. However, as with most car lines that GM has, sportier, less common, and in many cases, better looking examples rolled off the line in the case of all four nameplates. Part of this site will be dedicated to showcasing and informing readers about these special models, such as the Buick Century T-Type and GS, the Chevrolet Celebrity VR, the Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera GT and International Editions, and the Pontiac 6000 STE and AWD models. With so few A-bodies being produced with a manual transaxle, models so equipped will also be given attention, such as the Chevrolet Celebrities and Pontiac 6000s of 1987 and 1988.

I will eventually be posting a photo section on this page, at which time you can expect to find not only examples of many different models of A Bodies, but also pictures of different procedures, maintenance, and upgrades which I am doing to the A Bodies in my corral. I also will be posting, as on the '73-'77 A-body page, a supplier listing of sources in the aftermarket for all kinds of different repair and upgrade parts for this rockin' platform!
Please feel free to check back often, and if you have an idea for something you might like to see included on the page, send it over to me, and I'll do my best to address any such contact as soon as possible.
